

Eligibility
The minimum requirements for Certified Local Government status are:
- A current local historic district or landmarks ordinance meeting minimum federal and State requirements.
- A Historic Preservation, Design Review Commission whose members are either experienced in the preservation field or have a demonstrated interest in historic preservation. The commission must meet established minimum criteria.
- Qualified staff or consultants to provide support and technical assistance to the Historic Preservation Commission.
- A local preservation plan, if extant, or a concise statement describing the status of the applicant's survey, nomination, and design review process.
